How to Take Care of Your Eyes

Not to break is better than to mend, isn’t it? There is no exception, even for eye health. Many simple ways to maintain it. Some of the following easy steps can be done to maintain your eye health.

1. Eat Healthy Food.

Some vitamins C and E, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, and lutein are believed to help avoid age-related eye problems such as cataracts and macular degeneration of the eye. The content can be obtained from green leafy vegetables, salmon, tuna, eggs, beans, blueberries, blackberries, and oranges.

2. Avoid Smoking Habits.

Smoking increases the risk of cataracts, macular degenaration or loss of central vision due to macular damage (the center of the retina), and damages the optic nerve. Without smoking, people also avoid the risk of diabetes, which also contributes to health problems in the eye.

3. Doing Sports.

How to maintain eye health can also be done by doing sports. With exercise is believed to reduce the risk of vision loss caused by diabetes, high blood pressure, and narrowing or hardening of blood vessels.

4. Avoid Too Old Computer Staring.

Staring at the computer screen for too long can cause dry and tense eyes, blurred vision, neck pain, headache, back and shoulder pain, difficulty focusing on the distance. If you work in front of the computer all day, it is recommended every 20 minutes to divert your eyes for 6 meters for 20 seconds to reduce eye strain. Or can also rest the eyes for 15 minutes every 2 hours. And if your eyes feel dry, wink often.
