Articles 20 Jun 2019

Hello, Oatlovers! Surely everyone wants to have an ideal body. Alkali diets are diets that consume basic foods such as eating watermelons, cantaloupe, mangoes, pears, passion fruit, apples, grapes, avocados, bananas, dates, spinach, broccoli, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, beans, cabbage, celery, cucumber, and lemon. Besides being alkali, these foods are also enriched by vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. What are the benefits of an alkali diet, let’s look together!

1. Maintain body balance

This Alkali diet aims to restore the body’s pH balance, balanced pH levels are important in increasing growth hormone production. Increased growth hormone can help maintain heart function and increase the brain’s cognitive ability to think and remember tablets of Oatlovers!

2. Protect bone density

Research shows that the more consumption of fruits and vegetables that contain alkalis, the better the protection a person can get from decreasing bone and muscle strength with age, known as sarcopenia. An alkali diet can balance the ratio of essential minerals to bone building and maintain lean muscle mass, including calcium, magnesium and phosphate.

3. Prevent inflammation and chronic pain

The Society for Minerals and Treace Elements in Germany found that when patients with chronic back pain were given alkali supplements every day for four weeks, 76 of 82 patients reported a significant reduction in pain.

4. Maintain weight

Eating foods that produce acid and eating lots of alkali foods can protect the body from obesity by reducing leptin levels and swelling.

Although it has a myriad of health benefits, an alkali diet does not take into account the intake of protein which is mostly contained in alkali foods (meat, milk, and milk derivative products). The body still needs protein intake to function normally. Protein deficiency in the long run can be detrimental to the health of the body, to work around this, Oatlovers can choose other sources of animal protein, such as fish or skinless chicken meat combined with various vegetables when it’s time to eat. As much as possible to eat meat only 2-3 times in 1 week. For Oatlovers who have certain medical conditions, it is recommended to consult a doctor and nutritionist before taking an alkaline diet. Good luck, Oatlovers!
